There has been a whole lot on my mind lately, and when you are pregnant you can’t help but to think “oh God I hope that doesn’t happen to me.” I thank God everyday that Champ and I are both happy and healthy, and I pray that we stay that way until he is a finished baked bun (and after that for that matter)! Which should be in June… (I’d really like June 15th Champ…but I know you’ll make your entrance on your own time). Things hit you so much harder when you know the people they happen to. Whether its giving birth to your precious baby that you know you can never bring home with you or whether its having your baby three weeks early and he sounds and looks perfectly fine and come to find out he needs heart surgery days after his delivery or when you have to deliver your baby when you are barley 28 weeks along, or how about the people who desperately want to get pregnant and have a baby but keep having miscarriages, yet some silly immature teenager who can't support herself can get pregnant in a minute. I think about these people everyday and I know it’s only going to make them stronger. They are all definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I cherish every moment that I have feeling Champ kicking and moving, and I don’t complain when I get heart burn or when my feet hurt because those are the joys of pregnancy and not every woman gets to experience them, and some woman get those things taken away in just one quick minute. I plan to cherish every moment that I have with Champ when he arrives too. Not just the smiles and laughs and milestones, but the puking and getting up in the middle of the night and the crying. And just a little thought for Chelsey…Henry is going to be a strong little man, and like I said…He was just so excited to come and meet his great Mommy!

On a not so sappy note…I’m 29 weeks. Joe kindly reminded me that we only have about 11 weeks to go. Where did the time go? In the beginning time was taking too long, I couldn’t wait to get a belly and I couldn’t wait to feel him kick, and now I have a big belly and I feel Champ all the time. As the belly gets bigger the bigger & stronger my little man gets which means the harder he kicks, but I adore it. I finally got LC’s furniture ordered! Yay. It should be here in about a week.

This last weekend we went to Idaho to see some family, and Joe got to come. I was so excited! He hasn’t seen the big family, as I call them, (grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins) since our wedding. It was my grandma’s 70th birthday party, and later that night it was my little sister’s and one of our cousin’s joint Sweet 16 birthday party. We ate and mingled all day and danced the night away! It was nice seeing people that I haven’t seen in months and some even in years. And even though I’m not the attention seeker and really I don’t like having all the attention on me, it was nice to see that everyone was so excited about my belly! And I loved having my belly touched by everyone. Joe and two of my friends touch it on a daily basis but having my Grandma rub my belly is just so nice. While we were there I also found out about all the other babies coming into the world. A cousin who is turning 17 and got his girlfriend pregnant and yet another cousin who is 17, already has a one year old and just found out she is pregnant with a different guy. Oh my, my, my. As we were standing in line to get our food one of the younger teenage cousins of mine asked why we were so excited to be pregnant and my jaw just dropped…I said hello I’ve been married for over a year and I’m over the age of 20. I guess that just goes to show what kind of place that is. I’m thinking someone needs to put condoms in these kids’ stockings and Easter baskets.

So we all had fun dancing and hanging out and everyone loves watching Joe dance, because well, the boy can dance! And when he drinks he dances a lot! As does my brother! Speaking of my brother he decided to embarrass the birthday girls…he came inside dressed as Nacho Libre and made the girls dance with him. The dancing ended for me that night after doing “The Twist.” I don’t think Champ liked it all too much because my belly hurt. And because my sisters love me so much they did the “belly thrust” with me and we named it the belly dance! It was the move of the night! That night we stayed in Twin Falls at my brothers house and met their new puppy Boomer, who is just cute as can be and then on Sunday we took Harlie to the mall and took her to her favorite store to let her pick out what she wanted for her birthday. And... I’m so excited that I get to see the family here in a couple weeks again for my baby shower!

  1. Thanks so much for the thought. Henry is doing so well and is such a little fighter. I will post some pictures as soon as I get home. Good luck to you with the rest of your pregnancy! I hope to see you soon.
